In January of 2004, Terra Nova Truss hired a management consulting firm to assess our business practices on safety, quality control, production and scheduling controls, hiring procedures, inventory control, estimating, budgeting and overhead.

Through their assessment a number of new procedures and controls were implemented.  This has resulted in improvements in our overall product quality and service.  We also created our Truss Production Scheduler. With this program we are able to schedule deliveries and schedule daily production strategies to utilize the shop time to our customer’s advantage.

We have introduced our new line of designed and manufactured on site Open Wood Web Floor Joists.  The new custom made floor system allows you to run your plumbing and electrical through the joist reducing the need to ugly bulk heads.  It can be designed to help with increased weight loads and larger clearer spans for a cleaner more useable basement space.
